Newport to Cabo San Lucas Yacht Race

The start of the 800 mile Newport Beach (CA) to Cabo San Lucas Yacht Race begins this Friday and Saturday (March 22-23) for the 30 boats competing in ORR and PHRF. The offwind slide has attracted an impressive fleet, many of which are training for the Transpac this summer, though the weather forecast does not appear to offer record-breaking conditions. – Race website

It was a beautiful day for the PHRF Start off Newport Beach. 75 Degress, blues skies, and 8 knots of Southwest breeze. The fleet got off to a great start and is headed south to Cabo.
