Surf Industry to Meet in Cabo

Members of the surf industry will meet in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, May 16–19 for Surf Summit 15, an industry conference that features morning surf sessions; afternoon seminars; and roundtables, dinners and events at night. Hosted by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) and the Board Retailers Association (BRA), Surf Summit 15 will be tackle industry issues such as emerging brands, brand and retail consolidation, product innovation, and social media.

Among the speakers scheduled are Stacy Peralta, writer, producer, director and original Z-boy of Dogtown surfer and skater; Jean-Michael Cousteau, environmentalist, ocean explorer and filmmaker; and David Shing, AOL's "digital prophet." Surf Summit will conclude with a dinner and closing ceremony on the beach featuring former champion surfers Martin "Pottz" Potter and Nathan Fletcher.
